Willing Khadafi Armistice
Libyan leader, Muammar Khadafi, agreed to a truce, not including air assault and do longer bombardment of rebel headquarters in Benghazi.
Willingness Khadafi was successfully obtained after talks with President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, Monday, May 30, 2011. Zuma said that Khadafi was willing to do cease-fire, but refused to go down.
"brother leader (Khadafi) said that he was ready to make a decision suggested by the African Union, the cease-fire," Zuma said, quoted by CNN page.
Khadafi wants ceasefire is a ceasefire the two sides, namely the Libyan government and NATO. "The ceasefire is also related to cessation of bombing by NATO," said Zuma.
At the talks, Zuma said that he did not call for Khadafi to come down. African Union since the entry of NATO into supporting Libya Khadafi to continue to rule, a group of African countries is even criticized the NATO attacks to various places in Tripoli.
Earlier in April, along with Zuma, the African Union delegation visited Tripoli in Libya called for peace. At the meeting, Khadafi has agreed in principle map the African Union peace. However, Khadafi's statement was not translated into action, he's still an attack against the demonstrators.
